Carved from a single piece of black walnut, Charlie shows the wear and tear of his years. While I can't vouch for the character of "Muskrat Man," the heart of the wood from which he was carved was rotten. Somehow, it helped define his personality during his creation. He's too seasoned to be conned. Even now, he's the only personality allowed to smoke in my living room.
The frame around Charlie was taken from an old plank door in a farmhouse. With layers of paint, abuse from at least seven children raised there, and years of accumulated wear, Charlie is at ease.
