Second Attempt

This is my second attempt to carve the woman in a well-known National Geographic photograph.  I'm not overly concerned with trying to produce an exact replica of the photograph.  It's an interesting work that has deep cuts into a 2.5" thick walnut board.

National Geographic's Afghan Girl

This woman is another variation of the "Afghan Girl" carving and is based upon a photograph from National Geographic.
