Where to See the Carvings

A number of my carvings are on display for tourists and local folks on the town square at Samitch Gallery in Centerville, Tennessee, near the hometown of Minnie Pearl at Grinders Switch in Hickman County, Tennessee.

The mantle and bowl shown on this page may be seen at Leipers Fork Jewelery in  historic Leipers Fork, TN just off the Natchez Trace Parkway near Franklin, TN.

I built my own carving copier to make rough outs of some of my finished carvings.

Hand Made Tools

I made several carving tools to fit my needs.  One, a "hooked skew" is very versatile and easy to use. I have made versions from a 1" spade bits and from portions of a sawmill bandsaw blade.  The Woodmizer bandsaw blade is thinner and harder.

Carvings of People I Have Imagined
